Identity Transformation and New Cold War Structure in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) Region

SNUAC West Asia Center is holding an online colloquium with Dr. Hee Soo Lee (Hanyang University) under the title “Identity Transformation and New Cold War Structure in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) Region”. In the post-COVID-19 era, the MENA (Middle East-North Africa) region also stands at an inflection point of a great change. As their religion and life with a face-to-face culture changes into ‘untact’, their spiritual changes from the reinterpretation of rituals, women’s active development of awareness through online platforms, and the increase of Korea’s brand value are strengthening the Cold War axis of Iran-Israel along with the revolutions through GCC-Israel’s establishment of diplomatic ties and enhancement of relationship, thus forming a new structure of meeting and parting. Through this colloquium, we wish to survey the changing MENA and predict its future.
