The Formation of Modern Space in Northeast Asia: The Empire and Ideologies

On October 5th, 2019, SNUAC held an international academic conference <The Formation of Modern Space in Northeast Asia: The Empire and Ideologies> jointly with Institute for North East Asian Research at Shimane University, and National Institutes for the Humanities, an inter-university research institute corporation in Japan.

The conference, held as part of the commemorative events for SNUAC’s 10th anniversary, was joined by eleven scholars from Japan including Inoue Atsushi, the deputy dean of Shimane University, and many scholars from Korea including Professor Jang In-Sung (Political Science and International Relations) representing SNUAC.

A total of seven highly accomplishing academic papers were presented from both parties, and productive discussions followed, including designated discussion of each paper by an expert in the field.
