About the Conference

The Korean Association of Indian Social Science Research and the South Asia Center at SNUAC are co-organizing the 2018 Fall Conference on Saturday, 3rd November, 2018. The conference topics are ‘Social Changes Following the Indian Economic Growth’ and ‘Development of Regional Industry and Automotive Industry in India.’ Dr. Ki-yeon Lee from Chonnam National University will be presenting on ‘Migrant Workers and Labor Stress during the Development Process of a Smart City in India,’ Professor Kwang-soo Lee from Busan University of Foreign Studies will be presenting on ‘How did Hindutva Gain Influence?,’ Professor Moo-seop Jeong from Dong-A University and Dr. Jin-young Shin will be presenting on ‘ The Current Status of Industrial Corridor in India and  Korean Entry Strategy,’ and Dr. Yong-shik Kim from POSCO Research Institute will be presenting on ‘Nano Automobile: Tata Motors’ Aspirations and  Economic Conditions in India.’

Review

The South Asia Center at SNUAC and The Korean Association of Indian Social Science Research co-hosted the 2018 Fall Conference on 3rd of November. The conference began with an opening speech by Director SooJin Park of SNUAC and the first part of the conference examined ‘social changes following the Indian economic growth’ and the second part discussed ‘development of regional industry and automotive industry in India.’ Research topics on important social issues in contemporary India were presented at this conference.
