Dr Paul H Kratoska is Publishing Director for NUS Press at the National University of Singapore. A former editor of the Journal of Southeast Asian Studies, he is a Regional Editor for the International Journal of Asian Studies (Cambridge University Press for the University of Tokyo), and serves on Editorial Advisory Boards for the Journal of the Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society, TRaNS: Trans-Regional and – National Studies of Southeast Asia (Sogang University, Seoul), and Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS, Kyoto University). His book The Japanese Occupation of Malaya, 1941-1945 was published jointly by C. Hurst (London), The University of Hawaii Press, and Allen & Unwin, and his edited volumes include Food Supplies and the Japanese Occupation in Southeast Asia, South East Asian Minorities in the Wartime Japanese Empire, and Asian Labor in the Wartime Japanese Empire.
